CRISTO REDENTOR
Literally with open arms, the Cristo Redentor, on Corcovado Hill, receives thousands of tourists every day from different parts of the world. It is necessary to climb 700 meters above sea level to finally reach the peak where the statue that is the city's postcard is located. The Cristo Redentor is located within the Tijuca National Park and there are two ways to get there: in the authorized Paineiras vans, which leave from different points in Rio, and on the Corcovado train.
MARACANÃ
The setting for great world football classics, Maracanã has hosted so many historic moments that it has become a tourist attraction in Rio de Janeiro. Among them, Pelé's thousandth goal in 1969, which took place in the temple of Brazilian football.

YUP STAR FERRIS WHEEL
Rio de Janeiro has the second largest Ferris wheel in Latin America at 88 meters, second only to São Paulo's at 91 meters. Called Yup Star, it provides a different view of the Marvelous City, although it is not the most beautiful compared to others available there, such as Christ the Redeemer or Sugarloaf Mountain. Likewise, it's worth the visit for the ride and for being on one of the tallest Ferris wheels in the world. From there you can take the opportunity to visit other attractions that are nearby, such as AquaRio and the Museum of Tomorrow.
PÃO DE AÇÚCAR
The Bondinho do Pão de Açúcar is among the main tourist attractions in Rio de Janeiro and was opened in 1912, being the first cable car in Brazil and the third in the world. It connects Morro da Urca to Morro do Pão de Açúcar – and more than 40 million people have ridden the cable cars.
From the top you can find a stunning landscape of the city, including the Botafogo cove, the Copacabana waterfront and the entrance to Guanabara Bay. It's worth including one of the city's postcards in your itinerary.
TIJUCA NATIONAL PARK
The Tijuca National Park is a Brazilian conservation unit for integral nature protection located entirely in the city of Rio de Janeiro.
Among the park's tourist attractions, trails, caves and waterfalls, there are famous landmarks of the city, such as Pedra da Gávea, Corcovado, and Pico da Tijuca, the highest point in the park, rising 1,022 meters above the sea level. With mountainous relief, it includes areas of the Tijuca Massif.
ARCOS DA LAPA
Lapa is a neighborhood in Rio de Janeiro known for being bohemian and vibrant, with several traditional bars, nightclubs with live music, dance halls and open-air samba circles below Arcos da Lapa, a Roman-style aqueduct that you should take the opportunity to photograph.
There are options for all budgets. You can have a cup of caipirinha by buying it at street stalls for R$15, or you can also order the drink at a more upscale bar there.
LAGE PARK
Rio de Janeiro's Parque Lage is located at the foot of Corcovado Mountain and enchants with its 52 hectares of pure greenery, cultural programs and art.
Its structure is very beautiful, not to mention the landscape surrounded by lots of greenery and animals native to the Atlantic Forest. The park has free entry, including for the various monkeys that freely roam there.

The Museum of Tomorrow opened in December 2015 and has received more than 3 million visitors so far, appearing among the most beloved tourist attractions in Rio de Janeiro. BOTANICAL GARDEN
The Rio de Janeiro Botanical Garden was founded on June 13, 1808. It arose from a decision by the then Portuguese prince regent D. João to install a gunpowder factory and a garden for the acclimatization of plant species originating from other parts of the region. world.
Today, the Rio de Janeiro Botanical Garden Research Institute – named in 1995 – is a federal body linked to the Ministry of the Environment and is one of the most important global research centers in the areas of botany and biodiversity conservation.
RODRIGO DE FREITAS LAGOON
The Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon has more than 7 km of cycle path, so just enjoy it! The cool thing is that as you pass by and cycle, you will see different and beautiful angles of the place. GIGOIA ISLAND
Unknown even to locals, Gigoia Island is a corner of peace and tranquility in the middle of the city. Just a two-minute ferry ride from Barra da Tijuca and it feels like you've arrived in another world: no cars, no traffic, no noise – except for live music, which takes over the bars on the weekends. Despite being small, the island is full of good gastronomic options and even has inns for those who want to spend the night. For nature lovers, boat trips depart regularly exploring the “Carioca Pantanal”, including bird and alligator watching. An unmissable tour for the whole family!
COLOMBO CONFECTIONERY
With more than 100 years of history, Colombo Confectioneryis a traditional pastry shop located in the center of Rio – today with other branches spread across the city, both in Copacabana and Barra da Tijuca, as well as another at Galeão Airport. There was even an international website saying that it is one of the 10 most beautiful cafes in the world! And no wonder… The place is worth visiting for the space itself – but be sure to try some of the old dishes such as Pingo de Tocha or the traditional pastel de nata.
